Brothers, In about two weeks, we will hold our 8th battalion reunion. every reunion, brings out Newbees, brothers, that come to their first reunion. Attending a Reunion, Is a giant step towards healing, and a very scary thing to do. The first reunion I was invited to, I said No way! My wife said otherwise. it Has Changed my Life, My Wife's life, and the family's life for the better.( Much better) There is still time. contact Brother Steve Edmunds, (Pres.) go to SIT REPS PAGE. we are getting old, not too many years left, to re-unite with the brother that had your back. Do it, you'll be glad you did!

Well boys I'm coming over soon and will be there for the reunion my first.
Looking forward to seeing all, some Wayne Brown, Kurt Nagle, David Pickett and any body else'
My Doctor said this should clear some cobwebs from my brain.
I don't believe it my family is letting me go.
I'll be the easy one to find in the crowd, loud, full of B***S+++, drinking a form of whisky(southern c,wild turkey
and good wine)and telling jokes.
I can't sing(but think I can)
I'll miss the ones who didn't make it home.

I am the son of a man who served in D company, from late '67 until late '68. To those of you who were there: thank you for having my dad's back. I think the experience of being alive is pretty great and I have you all to thank for it. So, thanks.

Everyday after March 26th 1968 has been a gift. Psalm 91.... Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
...............14“Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.”

My dad (Jerry Martin) told me about his reunion and being contacted by Jimmy Hampton and I thought I would help him out (since I am on computers everyday) and set him up and email and get him hooked up with some of his old vietnam buddies. Dad can go on and on with conversations and great stories about all you guys. Keep in touch with him!!!

When the bravest men one could ever serve with were at hill 947 I didn't even know it was happening as I was on my way home. I still feel so guilty. sometimes I wish I could have stayed until theenemy was defeated.But as we all know that was never in the play book. God bless our fallen Brothers (I am still angry, can't shake it) and God bless the rest of you.

Some Vietnam combat vets put Vietnam out of their memory for good reasons but I can not.
Let us not forget Operation Wayne Grey
MARCH-APRIL69 and the men who fought and gave their their lives. Probably the American public still today never heard of that battle but we know. I am a veteran of Hill 947 and I always think of the men of Company D and our brothers of the 3/8.
