In remembrance as always the 3/8th is always on my mind this day. It's only been 50 years, 4 months and 20 days since I came in country. Live everyday to the max cause the end result is the same for all of us.
Hope all of you are doing well and having a great weekend. This evening I will have a cigar and a scotch n water and a prayer for all of you, past and still present.

Does anyone have any information/stories about my father, Capt./Luet. James Thomas Harrison 68-69. He was attached to the 3/8 artillery division during 68-69. He passed away in 2014 and I would like to learn more about his time during his service. Thank you to anyone that has any information. God bless.

I have just returned home from having repair surgery on my aorta valve and am doing fine . dr. says a few weeks and I should be able to resume normal activities. having a little setback like this makes on take stock in what is important in life. I am thankful for many thing, a beautiful family, a long and healthy life, and a free country for me , and my family to call home , and for that I WILL ALWAYS BE GRATEFUL, and stand in awe of the 20 yr. old men who I had the honor and privilege to serve with , may god be with you all.

To Scott Moseley relative of Charles Davidson KIA 5/5/70.
I was there when Davidson was killed please contact me for photos and stories vanv4@comcast.net
An excellent book was written about this operation in Cambodia; "12 Days in May" by Gerald Berry available on amazon. A chapter in the book tells in detail the story of "A" Company and Davidsons and the others death.
Also go to the Viet Nam "Wall of Faces" project and add any thoughts and Photos of him.

I'm the nephew of Charles Davidson, KIA 5/8/1970. Charlie was in A company. I just want to thank you all for your service and through your galleries, allowing me an opportunity to catch a glimpse of his day to day. My mother recently passed and she was the last of his immediate family, so my brother and I are essentially the last of his survivors. I plan to keep his memory going and have started educating myself on his service. Thanks again for your service and allowing me the insight.

Jerry, Al was probably the quietiest in the Company. Al was right behind me when he
got hit in the neck (junglier) he said to me I'm
hit and my last words to Al were to go up
where the wounded were. Most of us did
what we were told to do but I didn't like
those 4 man SRP. Will send you pic of
Ranger. Never thought asking if anyone
remembered Ranger would bring so many
responses. Jerry, Welcome Home.

PETER I AM GLAD TO HEAR THAT YOU WERE FRIENDS WITH AL. OF ALL OF THOSE WE LOST I THINK AL HAUNTS ME MORE THAN ALL. AL WAS A GOOD MAN VERY QUIT AND UNASUMING, HE NEVER ARGUED ABOUT ANYTHING NOR DID HE MIND DOING WHATEVER WAS ASKED OF HIM. THERE WAS NEVER ANY QUESTION THAT IF HE TOLD YOU SOMETHING IT WAS TRUE TO THE BEST OF HIS KNOWLEDGE. IT WAS A HONOR TO HAVE SERVED WITH HIM. AND TO REMEMBER THE SHAPNEL THAT HIT HIS NECK AND KNOWING THERE WAS NOTHING I COULD IS HARSD.
